Dipl.Ing. Marlene Wagner graduated architecture studies with distinction at the Vienna University of Technology and is a founding member of the not for profit organization buildCollective for architecture and development. In cooperation with international NGOs, universities, grassroots organizations and diverse public and private stakeholders, she realized a big number of educational buildings, social and technical infrastructure, art and public space projects as well as organisational and educational development frameworks.
Based for several years in South Africa, further collaboration established with institutions and organisations in Germany, Italy, England, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovenia, USA, Tanzania and Kenia. She presented her work in a number of international conferences, publications and exhibitions.

Marlene is part of an Urban Mobility Lab in the Smart City development Seestadt, Vienna designing Formats of Learning and Tools of Engagement, within the research group Multidisciplinary Design & User Research at the Faculty of Informatics, Vienna University of Technology.
